What A Year We Had
2020 is behind us. We can REJOICE! However, this doesn't mean our lives will be back to normal automatically. Many in 2020 had to change our lives, and quickly! Some became caregivers, some had to drop everything to work the frontlines day in and day out. Which we are very thankful for you and your hard work.

My family had a mix of essential workers and office occupations. While my husband went to work, I now had to work from home with my children. Sure, it was great in the beginning waking up in my pj's with a cup of coffee, sitting on the couch with my laptop answering emails. But after 2, 3, 10 MONTHS.... that just wasn't sustainable for me.
How I Like To Work From Home
I found that the best way to work from home was to have a space for work. Otherwise, you can never escape it. If I work from my bedroom, my bed is no longer this peaceful place that I look forward to resting my head on at night. Instead, I'm thinking about what I need to do tomorrow. How does this help when deciding what to wear to work in 2021?
A flip side to this theory is what I am wearing when I go "into" work. If there isn't a zoom meeting scheduled, I like to still take advantage of the convenience of working from home by not needing to get dolled up each morning. I will start my day with a shower, brush my teeth, you know, the normal stuff. Maybe today I feel like adding some make-up and the next day just some mascara or lip gloss. I may throw on a sweater if the house is chilly or wear some cozy lounge pants. See some of my favorites here.
I've found that just like where I work, how I dress for working at home can improve my mood and put me in "work mode." If I put on a blouse and some roomy joggers, I feel more put together than if I was to wear my husband's basketball t-shirt from high school. I say while wearing my mama tee and high-waisted denim. Maybe wearing slacks and a blouse every day is your go-to look. You could be the complete opposite and want to wear an oversized sweater with your jeans.
Style is subjective, and we all have the right to wear what we want to wear, am I right? If you're curious, these are my favorite joggers for working at home. They are work-appropriate and very comfortable. Okay, but what if I don't work from home? How do I dress for the office?
How To Dress Whether At-Home or In-Office

It's crazy how just a few months of this new lifestyle can completely change how we used to be and dress. What's trendy when all you see are influencers in cozy & comfy loungewear? One thing I didn't want to do was invest in an entire work-attire wardrobe again if I didn't know how many times I would be going into the office. I don't like clutter. I like my closet to be organized, and seeing clothes hanging that I'm never going to wear just wasn't an option for me. If you have to go into the office every day, that could be a different story for you. I needed to find pieces that could fit both of my circumstances.
